Michelle Bogdon – Vice President HR Canada

Michelle was appointed Vice President HR Canada in April 2018. She is responsible for the delivery of human resources in country and represents the function at the country coordination team.
Prior to her current role, Michelle was based in The Netherlands. She was VP HR Projects &Technology (P&T) Delivery Models for one year after completing a five-year assignment as VP HR P&T Upstream Development where she was accountable for the global Development organization with focus on Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Diversity and Learning.
She joined Shell Canada as a new graduate in 1988 as a Network Telecommunications Analyst before progressing to a career in Human Resources. She held various positions across the businesses where her areas of responsibility have included recruitment, organization and work design, compensation strategy and design, and overall management of human resources initiatives, policies, and performance management programs. In 2009, Michelle was appointed as the VP HR for Upstream Americas Heavy Oil and was in that role until moving to P&T.
She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and a management certificate in Human Resources Development from the University of Calgary. She also has her CCP designation from the Canadian Compensation Association.
Outside of work, Michelle and her partner Greg enjoy travelling, golfing, the arts and theatre.
