Working with Indigenous Businesses to Restore the Land

Since 2014, Shell has revegetated over 60 hectares of land near our natural gas Groundbirch operations in Northeast British Colombia working with Twin Sisters Nursery. Interim reclamation re-establishes some of the land around a well-pad to reduce the surface land disturbance while minimizing soil erosion in that area. This year, Groundbirch will have planted over 200,000 native plugs since we started working with the nursery.
Taking a Traditional Approach to Reclamation with Indigenous Businesses

Twin Sisters Nursery supports the improvement of restoration and reclamation work in Northeast B.C. through seed propagation and native plant distribution. Their primary focus is on ecological restoration and the remediation of impacts on traditional lands from mining and other industrial projects.
Andrea Brecka - General Manager, Retail Canada
Andrea’s 25-year career in Shell has spanned many of Shell’s business areas, including refining, trading & supply, oil sands and retail. She currently leads Shell Canada’s retail business, where she inspires her organization to fulfil its purpose: making life’s journeys better for Canadians by enriching today and creating a more sustainable tomorrow. Andrea also serves as a director and vice president for Shell Canada Limited.
Michelle Bogdon – Vice President HR Canada
Michelle was appointed Vice President HR Canada in April 2018. She is responsible for the delivery of human resources in country and represents the function at the country coordination team.
Gordon McCue – Head of Legal & Associate General Counsel, Downstream
Gordon McCue is the Associate General Counsel, Downstream and Head of Legal for Shell Canada. He joined Shell in 2007 working in Shell’s Downstream legal team.
Jason Anderson (CPA, CA) – Controller, Treasurer and VP

Jason Anderson joined Shell Canada Limited in 2008 as Vice President, Controller and Treasurer. Prior to joining Shell, Jason worked for PwC and has had broad experience within the finance organization.
